God I love this band
I just saw them live and it was the craziest show I've ever seen. Their self-proclaimed "flower punk" drove the crowd into a weird half orgy, half riot like nothing I've ever seen before. Despite the chaos, they managed to blaze through a blistering set of classics, old and new. They're like a bunch of 60's misfits all hopped up on speed and firecrackers. This band is JUNK.

This was a great live show. Wish they wouldn't have cut "Veni Vidi Vici" short but at least they hit "Dirty Hands" (and "Cold Hands") on the money spot. I enjoyed being up front with all of the pill-popping under agers... reminded me of myself in my hayday minus the pills. hee hee
That opening band - can't remember their name off the top - was so crazy. BUt I admit I got weird goosebumps watching it and couldn't tell if they were good or bad goosebumps.
I wish i could have seen this show. Ive never really listened to them a whole lot, but it sounds like if i would have seen them i would have started to love them.
Yeah Betsy, it was Mr. Quintron and Miss Pussycat! hahaha
WOW.
They freaked me the F out...
Very strange
And Patreezy, get the Black Lips live record and "Good Bad Not Evil"... Those are their two most solid. Their first records are great, but just WAY underproduced and for that reason alone, not as enjoyable as their latest.
I enjoyed the black lips, but maybe not as much as the puppet show by mr. quintron and miss pussycat . *awink.
i think we went into the wrong business... we should have been mastering our puppeteering skills all these years instead of everything else that's occupied our time, like music, movies, video games, and shoveling snow. ha
I wish I had a DVD of that Miss Pussycat puppet-show. It was so insane, to call it that is a severe understatement. They even managed to bring SANTA into it to tell the crowd 'merry christmas!' I thought it was hilarious personally, and it made me feel messed up just watching it, which is an achievement (of sorts) in itself, if nothing else.
....and yes, the Black Lips were really good too.
